KAYAKS & CHICKEN WINGS
Eagleville Dam, Coventry CT
Our annual Kayak birdwatching trip is Saturday September 9, 2017 http://www.willimanticriver.org/recreation/pg_park_eagleville-lake.html
We will be meeting in the parking lot at Eagleville Dam in Coventry CT at 5:30pm. (Meet at the lot to the right of the dam).
We’ll paddle and bird the river. There is always plenty of things to see on this trip.
When we are finished paddling we continue on to Bidwell Tavern for chicken wings.
Hope you can join us! Please send us an email or call the store if you are planning to meet us so we don’t miss anyone.
(There is no fee for the trip but you must purchase your own meal at Bidwell Tavern ~ we usually divide the total by the number in the party so cash is best)
5 Bridge Rd Rail Trail Entrance
Meet Dezeree at the Five Bridge Rail Trail parking lot at 6:15. Nature walk to look for birds, bugs, butterflies, moths, frogs, native plants and more. Very casual walk to see whatever is happening right now around us. Feel free to bring binoculars, camera and field guides. You can let us know if you will be attending by email: email@example.com

8:00 am – Lets Explore the Neighborhood Wednesday Walk
Our Opticron Optics Rep will be joining us for this Wednesday’s Walk. If you wanted to try some new binoculars or a spotting scope this is your chance! Michaela will have all the new Opticron Binoculars and the new MM4 Travel Scope for you to try, and she will be available to answer all your optics questions.

Join us for a birding adventure at Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge in Middletown, RI. The refuge includes 40 acres of salt marsh lands and steep rocky shorelines around the perimeter. Most visitors enjoy year-round birdwatching, and elevated observation platforms along the trails provide unobstructed views of the refuge. A short distance away at Third Beach is our recently restored salt marsh habitat, a new birding “hotspot” and a favorite of birders and non-birders alike. We’re glad to help! All that is required is an invitation and a cup of early morning coffee.
Give us a call or stop by the bird store to schedule a time for bird watching and morning coffee. We will come to your house and take a walk around your yard with you to help you to identify all those confusing little birds. You provide the coffee and we will bring our field guides, binoculars and knowledge to help you enjoy your backyard nature even more.
